Thoughts of him,
Fragrant like Jasmine
Beckoned me at night
Intoxicating as they were,
He was too far away
A veil of white blooms
In a neighbor’s garden
Trespass, I dared not
Fearful for my heart
So I let him slip away
Out into the universe
And weightless, they floated
To the ground beneath.
